California Cosmo was born about 12 years ago when Miss Darrian Lynx (me) began exploring the artistic potential of computers and the internet. Graphics, fonts, web design, erotic pin up art, and t-shirt design. All of these forms of artistic expression have been explored. The sexy silhouette dingbats and font sets were the first sexy fonts to be created and published. Much searching and scouring was done before the realization came about that there werent any sexy fonts available. There are lots now, and Im quite sure they were all inspired by the delightful sexy silhouettes and alpha silhouettes. I painstakingly crafted and created. I love sexy things. Art, graphics, fashion, entertainment. My joy is in the creation of sexiness.

 I moved on from graphics to photoshop and a graphics tablet. I already loved to draw with pencil, but I felt that my art wouldnt be complete without color. I didnt have the room or the means to tackle paint and canvas,  so I was delighted to discover the wonder that is Adobe Photoshop. When I was introduced to a graphics tablet I had all that I needed. I painted and painted and my art matured and developed into work worth collecting. Paintings by Darrian Lynx can be found all over the web and many people’s private archives too.

 I was on a mission to find an easy way to upload and print my work without alot of startup funding and costs. I was thrilled to discover Cafepress and created a little t-shirt shop immediately. I began using my own artwork to design and create sexy and funny t shirt graphics to print onto the products Cafepress had available to print on. They also have posters and prints and greeting cards and stickers . Many other items as well. I spent many hours designing and creating my shop and it’s content.

 I went on to discover Zazzle and Spreadshirt as well.

These sites have better design tools and more product colors and selection, but Cafepress had the mass head start and popularity. The quality of product is very high with all three companies, though, and customers rarely return orders. I’ve never experienced a returned item, although satisfaction is gauranteed and full refund available.

 So, I have traveled far on the artistic road of technology and communication. I have a new venture, now. A very nobile one of which I see great need. I will save the details for a separate post, however as it is a completely different topic.
